Pick up my brand new golf gti on the 1st September, which is just over a month ago, so far it has been an absolutely fantastic experience!

My car is a 3door in red, only extras are the 18" wheels, ipod connection, rcd 500 multi-player and center console. The 18" wheels are the dogs wot sits!

No major issues, no problems, well apart from the fact I have had to go steady to give the engine a chance to bed in.

So far I have covered 550 miles, all very enjoyable, it's a lovely feeling to have a brand new car, this is the first new one I have had, hope it won't be the last.

The Car is averaging about 30 miles per gallon, no bad for a new car and lots of short runs.

My wife has not driven it yet, she sees a bit reluctant, think she is a bit worried about marking the wheels!!

Had a bad moment when reversing the car clipped the kerb, had a tear in my eye as I slowly went round to inspect for damage, luckily no damage which was a major relief.

So far so good, hope to give her a really good clean and a wax before the winter arrives.
